  1. Pleased to see Brafferton is to be visited by the Darlington Borough Council Deputy Leader.
I hope the visit will include an examination of the enclosed lane and pre Roman lane known as High House Lane.
This runs from the eastern edge of the village to a small site of solar around 32 acres.
High House Lane is also designated by Darlington Council as a PROW footpath. this is not identified in any literature by JBM, the developers.

The developers have wrongly assumed in their desktop research that High House Lane carries traffic equivalent to Lime and Lodge Lane.
Their traffic assessment identifies High House Lane as carrying in excess of 250 vehicles!
Therefore there would be little percentage increase when they use High House Lane as a construction access
to the 32 acres solar site mentioned above.
This totally nonsense statement has been presented and accepted as fact by the National Inspectorate.

Are they using an algorythmn based on Lanes and their usage if a road?
Did they ever visit this site at all?
If they did were the numbers based on the village traffic ie. in excess o f 500 movements?
On High House Lane itself it would be a busy day to have 10 vehicle movements.
